Robert Novak was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "A McLaughlin Group Special Edition: Is This Any Way to Elect a President?" (1988-89), "Meet the Media: Is It Unfair to Clinton? Is It Fair to America?" (CNBC, 1994-95) and "Year in Review -- Roundtable" (1994-95). In the early stages of his Hollywood career, Novak held acting roles in films like the comedy "Dave" (1993) with Kevin Kline. He also appeared in the TV special "Art Buchwald: The Wit of Washington" (1997-98). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Running Mates" (TNT, 1999-2000). In the nineties, he worked on the silver screen, taking roles in the Jodie Foster hit sci-fi feature "Contact" (1997) and "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1999) with Pierce Brosnan. Novak was most recently credited in "The Shatner Project" (DIY Network, 2014-15). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Last Debate" (Showtime, 2000-01). Novak passed away in August 2009 at the age of 78.
